Drugs

 

Belleville, Ontario – On the 27th of March 2014, members of the Belleville Police Service Drug Unit and Street Crime Unit with assistance from the OPP CDAT Officer and Belleville Police Emergence Response Team executed a CDSA search warrant on Emily St. in Belleville. 

 

As a result of the search warrant, police seized 12.5 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of marijuana, prescription pills that were for sale and cash.  The value of the seized drugs is $1640.  Police also seized a quantity of stolen property.

 

The following persons were charged as a result of the search warrant:

 

Colleen Gautreau-Peterson, 48 years from Belleville

 

˙                   Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

˙                   Possession of Proceeds of Crime

 

 

Rorrie MacDonald - 49 years old from Tweed

 

         Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

         Possession of Marijuana for the purpose of trafficking

 

 

Johanna Joncas - 52 years old from Tweed

 

         Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

 

 

All 3 persons were held for a Bail Hearing scheduled for the 28th of March 2014.  The investigation into the stolen property is continuing.

 

Assault

 

Belleville, Ontario—On the 29 March 2014 at 1023 pm police attended on Front street regarding a male injured in the sidewalk. Investigation revealed the 33 year male  had a wound to his head, which he had received during an altercation at a west end residence approximately one half hour before. Police later arrested and charged 30 year female for domestic assault and a 33 year male was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. Both charged parties were released on a promise to appear with court date in late April

 

Accidents

 

Belleville Ontario—On the 30th March 2014 at 330 am police attended on Wallbridge –Loyalist Road regarding a single car roll over. Upon police arrival there were two persons trapped in the car. Officers broke the window and were able to help the parties out. There were no injuries sustained by the occupants. Ems and fire did attend to assist in the accident. No charges laid in the incident
