Breach of the Peace
Belleville, Ont. ? On May 29, 2009, shortly after midnight police were called to an Albion Street address regarding a disturbance. Police were confronted by a 45 year old irate Belleville woman. The woman was given the opportunity to calm down however continued yelling and screaming. She was arrested for Breach of the Peace and detained for a short period of time before being released unconditionally.
Belleville, Ont. ? On May 29, 2009, at 4:00 a.m. police responded to a North Front Street location regarding a domestic dispute. It was alleged that a 41 year old Belleville male had held the victim in a room at an addresses they were temporarily staying. He refused to let her leave and through out the night held her down on the floor struck her several times on the face and pulled out large clumps of her hair.
The accused was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault, and one count of Forcible Confinement. The accused is being held for a Bail Hearing.
Belleville, Ont. ? On May 29, 2009, at approximately 9:40 p.m., police were called to the area of Bridge Street West near Everett Street regarding a male acting strangely. The male was observed lying on the ground and when approached by police he jumped up quickly and threw a handful of gravel at an officer who was seated in a nearby cruiser. The accused was arrested for Intoxicated in a Public Place as well as Assault a Police Officer. The 50 year old Belleville male resisted arrest by continuing to fight with the arresting officers and spit at them. The accused was subsequently detained and after being searched was further with charged with Possession of Cocaine. The accused was detained in custody for a Bail hearing set for June 1, 2009
