Thefts- Belleville ON

 

Belleville Police would like to make the public aware of a series of thefts that have been occurring in various churches in the Belleville area.  A male and female couple in their mid-20’s attend various churches on the guise that they are in need of food vouchers and other assistance.  Once in the church, electronics and other items have been stolen by this couple and later pawned for cash.  Police have identified the pair and are in the process of issuing warrants for their arrest.  Police would like to remind the public and in particular the local churches of this situation and to be vigilant as the holiday season approaches. Motor Vehicle Accident – Belleville ON

On the 28th November 2016 8:15 pm police were dispatched to a single car accident on Old Hwy #2 and Pointe Ann Lane . Investigation revealed the vehicle had struck a deer. There were no injuries to the driver, but the deer was found dead . The vehicle had to be towed from the location. Police are reminding drivers to be aware and alert when driving on the highways at night due to the deer activity .

 

Robbery- Belleville ON

On the 29 November 2016 at 1:30 am, police attended at a downtown tavern, regarding an altercation between three female patrons. Investigation revealed that two patrons were playing pool, when they were assaulted by another lone female patron . The parties that were assaulted had  property stolen during the altercation.
