The Belleville Police Service responded to 53 calls for service between November 28th 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and November 29th 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Arrested on warrants

Belleville ON - On November 29th at 2:40a.m., police observed a female riding a bike on Sidney Street. Police recognized the female to be 36 year old Melissa McGiffen of Belleville who was wanted on outstanding warrants for possession of stolen property, fraud, and breach of probation. She was arrested and held for a bail hearing on November 29th.

Youth arrested for causing damage

Belleville ON - On November 28th at 7:10 p.m., police attended an east end group home regarding a youth who was punching holes in the walls. The youth, who had fled the residence, was also breaching his conditions of release relating to a prior arrest. The youth was located a short time later, and he was arrested. The 14 year old youth was arrested on charges of mischief and failing to comply with his recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing on November 29th.

Man arrested for impaired

Belleville ON - On November 29th at 2:15a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Front Street after they observed a male driving erratically. While speaking with the male, police observed the male smelled strongly of alcohol. The male was given a roadside screening test which he failed, and he was subsequently arrested. Carmen Miller, 40, of Belleville was charged with over 80mgs. He will appear in court on December 12th.
