Breach of Court Order
Belleville, Ont. - On October 28, 2009, police received a complaint of a Belleville man disobeying a court order. Further investigation revealed the male was placed on a Court Order on October 23, 2009, and the Order prohibited him from communicating with his ex spouse and other family members. It is alleged the male contacted all of the family members through ?Facebook' on numerous occasions. On October 29, 2009, at 8:55 a.m., the 44 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with three counts of Disobeying a Court Order and one count of Uttering Threats. He is being held for a bail hearing set for October 30, 2009.
Assaulting a Peace Officer
Belleville, Ont. - On October 29, 2009, at 1:16 p.m., police were dispatched to the court building on Victoria Ave regarding an assault on a Court Security Officer. The male suspect was in custody and before the courts. He became agitated in the cell area of the court house and was yelling profanities at the officers assigned to court security. The suspect continued this behavior and at one point made a fist threatening one of officers. A short time later while another prisoner was being removed from the cell area the accused punched the officer with a closed fist on the face. A 45 year old Quinte West male was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Assaulting a Peace Officer.
Break & Enter ? Theft of Lawn Tractor
Belleville, Ont. - On October 29, 2009, a Harmony Road home owner reported suspects broke into a barn on his property and stole a lawn tractor. The tractor is a 2009 John Deere, model X534.The approximate value of the tractor is $12,000. This incident is currently under investigation.
Break & Enter
Belleville, Ont. - On October 29, 2009, a Hall Settlement Road resident reported a Break and Enter to his home. The entry occurred sometime between 9:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m., this same date and entry was gained by damaging the front door to the residence. Taken in this Break and Enter was various electronic items. This incident is currently under investigation.
Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, Ont. - On October 29, 2009, at 10:20 p.m., the Belleville Transit Authority reported an unruly passenger on their west hill bus. The bus was stopped on Moira St West and a 24 year Belleville man was arrested and charged with Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
Stolen Vehicle
Belleville, Ont. - On October 29, 2009, a landscaping company on Tank Farm Road reported one of their vehicles was stolen over night. The vehicle is a 1990 Blue, CHEV 1500 Pick Up. The plate number is 1674WH and BEAUDRIE LANDSCAPING is printed on the side of the truck in bold letters.
Suspicious Person
Belleville, Ont. - On October 29, 2009, at 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the down town area regarding a male wearing a balaclava. Police located the male standing on Front Street and he advised he was dressed as a ?terrorist' and was on his way to a Halloween Costume party.
