Belleville Police Service responded to 78 calls for service from the 01st of August 2019 at 5:00 a.m. to the 02nd of August 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Break and Enter Charges

Belleville, Ontario – On the 1st of August 2019, as a result of an investigation into a break and enter at East Side High on the 18th of July, three females were arrested and charged. The three females were all released on promise to appears with court dates of the 3rd of September. Furthermore, they were placed on Officer in Charge conditions not to associate or communicate with each other until the matter has been dealt with in court. The charges included break, enter and commit an indictable offence and mischief under $5000. Their names cannot be released as they are young offenders.

Arrest on Warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On the 2nd of August 2019 at 0330 hrs, officers were called to the James St area with regard to a suspicious female. Police arrived on scene and located the female. Further investigation revealed that the female had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. When she was searched a small amount of methamphetamine was located in her purse. Ashely Whiteside a 34 year-old woman from Belleville was charged with possession of a narcotic and breach of probation. She was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in September.
