R.I.D.E

Belleville, Ont-During the evening of Dec 2 the Belleville Police conducted a R.I.D.E program. 230 vehicles were checked> the results were:

1 Administrative licence suspension.

1 person charged with impaired

1 G1 G2 drivers licence violations

2 3 day licence suspensions.

Domestic Assault,

Belleville Ont- At 1230 am officers attended the Central Zone in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers observed a female bleeding from a cut on her head. A Belleville male in his 50's was arrested at the scene. Further investigation revealed that the male had thrown a bottle at her. The male was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He was held for a bail hearing on 3 Dec.
