Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? On 2 June, 2010 at 3:45 p.m., police attended at a residence on Crestview Ave. in response to a complaint of a break and enter. The resident reported that sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence through a side door. The culprits then stole a laptop and electronics and electronic games. This investigation is ongoing.
Belleville, Ontario ? On 2 June, 2010 at 10:30 p.m., police attended at a residence on Tracey Street in response to a report of found property. Police located a starter pistol that had been abandoned on the lawn of the residence. Starter pistols used for its' intended purpose (i.e. to start a race), is not considered a prohibited firearm or weapon. Police are warning the public of the dangers associated to the inappropriate use of starter pistols.
Belleville, Ontario ? On 31 May, 2010 at 2:02 p.m., a member of our community found a wallet (containing a large sum of money) in the downtown core. This wallet was turned into the police and the rightful owner identified and contacted. The wallet, with all its contents; was returned to a very appreciative Belleville resident.
