Dangerous Driving

Belleville, Ontario ? March 3, 2010 at 2:14 p.m., police were contacted by the driver of a vehicle that had just been involved in a collision at Hwy 62 and Millennium Drive. The other involved vehicle had fled this collision. Police attended in the area of the last sighting of the involved vehicle.

Further investigation lead to information that the same vehicle had been involved in a second collision at Sidney Street and Millennium Drive and again failed to remain at the collision scene.

This vehicle continued to travel north bound out of the City and was observed to pass several vehicles on the shoulder of the road, and failed to stop at four intersections. The vehicle eventually pulled into a residence in the Foxboro area.

Martin McDonald (22 years) of Foxboro has been charged with 2 counts of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and 2 counts of Fail to Remain, one count of Drive with no insurance and one count of Use plates not authorized for vehicle.

McDonald was released with numerous conditions and specifically not to operate any motor vehicle and will appear on April 8, 2010 at Provincial Court, 15 Victoria Avenue, Belleville.
 
Missing Person
Belleville, Ontario- March 3, 2010 at 6:46 p.m., police were requested to assist in locating John Elliot Durban (53 year old male) from Belleville. This male is described as being approx 5'7" tall, very thin - approx 100 lbs, brush cut, dark coloured hair and green eyes and possibly wearing dark khaki coloured, North 49 waist length winter coat with grey arms. He also typically wears black coloured Oxford dress shoes and jeans. Durban was last seen at his home on 3 March 2010, at approximately 12:30 p.m.. Durban requires medication on a daily basis which he does not have with him.

Police are requesting that anyone with information that will assist in determining John Durban's wellbeing to contact Belleville Police at 613-966-0882.
