Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario ? On 2 November, 2011 at 3:56 p.m., while on general patrol police came upon a motor vehicle collocation that had just occurred at Palmer Road and Harder Drive. The collision involved a Plymouth van and a Cadillac. It was reported that the van had side swiped the car. There were no injuries reported at the time of this incident.

Investigation of the collision resulted in the arrest of the vans' driver. Penny Halliday (50 years) of Thurlow Township has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and is scheduled to attend Provincial court on 8 December, 2011.


Belleville, Ontario ? On 2 November, 2011 at 7:12 p.m., police attended in the parking lot of a school on Ritchie Avenue in response to a call for assistance from Belleville Fire Department.

It was reported that 2 young males were responsible for setting a plastic bag (that was attached to the light post) on fire.

Male #1 10 to 12 years,approximately 4 ?tall, wearing a black sweater

Male #2 10 to 12 years, approximately 4' tall, longer hair in the back, wearing a grey sweater
