Theft of Vehicle
Belleville, Ont - On April 30th, 2009, at 11:30 p.m., a patron at the Go Go Club on North Front St. reported the theft of his Dodge Dakota pick-up truck. The truck was observed minutes later pulling in behind the Comfort Inn. As the male driver exited the truck, he fled on foot upon seeing the police cruiser. A foot chase ensued and the driver was arrested by Officers near the Swiss Chalet.
A 27 year old British Columbia man remains in custody on the following of charges Theft Over $5000.00, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.00, Drive While Prohibited, Possession of Marijuana, and Breach of Probation. He will appear for a Bail Hearing on May 1st, 2009.
The vehicle was returned to the owner.
Breach of Undertaking
Belleville, Ont - On April 30th, at 10:30 p.m., Police responded to a disturbance at a west end residence. A 15 year old female was arrested and charged with Breaching a Condition of an Undertaking, as well as Breaching a Condition of her Probation Oder. She was released into the care of a guardian with a court date later in May.
