Warrant

Belleville, Ontario – On January 29, 2016 at 6:00 pm, police received a request from Durham Regional Police in regards to a missing person possibly in Belleville.  At this time, police attended a motel on Northfront Street in an attempt to locate a 51 year old male.  The male was located and apprehended under a Mental Health apprehension warrant and escorted to Whitby without incident.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, Ontario – On January 29, 2016 at 6:45 pm, police responded to a residence on William Street in regards to a disturbance.  Information was that a female had been struck and the male had fled the residence.  At 10:00 pm, police subsequently located the male and placed him under arrest for Assault.  A 28 year old Belleville male has been charged with Assault and was later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in February.   

Impaired Driving/Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On January 30, 2016 at 2:15 am, police responded to a motor vehicle collision in a parking lot of a business on Northfront Street at College.  The vehicle had struck the business sign and the male was located in the vehicle slumped over the wheel.    As a result of a police investigation, a 37 year old Belleville male was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving, Drive over 80 and Drive While Suspended. He was later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in February. 

Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, Ontario – On January 30, 2016 at 2:56 am, police responded to a disturbance on Northfront Street.  Information received was that a 29 year old male had been bear sprayed and had been transported to the hospital.  This investigation is continuing.  Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Erwin of the Belleville Police Service and/or Quinte Crimestoppers.
