Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario On July 29th, 2013, at 6:35 a.m., police attended at a restaurant on Dundas Street East in relation to an overnight break-in. A small amount of cash was taken. Anyone with information can contact Belleville Police Service or Crimestoppers.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, Ontario On July 29th, 2013, at 6:10 p.m. police attended at a Haig Road apartment in relation to a disturbance. A 20 year old Belleville man was arrested at the scene for assaulting a woman. Further investigation led to multiple counts of assault being laid over a one year period. The accused was held for a Bail hearing on July 30th on three counts of assault, two counts of assault causing bodily harm, uttering death threats, and two counts of breach of probation. The victim received minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

Public intoxication

Belleville, Ontario On July 29th, 2013, at 8:10 p.m. police received several calls about an intoxicated woman on William Street north of Bridge Street. A 23 year old Quinte West woman was located and arrested for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

On July 29th, 2013, at 11:19 p.m., police attended on Tracey Street near North Front Street in relation to a car stuck in a ditch. The vehicle was unoccupied upon officers' arrival. An intoxicated male was located on North Front Street south of Tracey Street. The 49 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. The car, which had the wrong licence plates on it, was towed.

Arrest on Warrant

Belleville, Ontario On July 29th, 2013 at 11:21 p.m., a 26 year old Belleville man was arrested on a warrant held by Prince Edward OPP. The charge was possession of stolen property. The male was turned over to escort officers from Prince Edward OPP.
