The Belleville Police Service responded to 83 calls for service between July 29th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and July 30th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Arrested on Warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On July 29th 2019 at 9:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Dundas Street and Ann Street regarding an intoxicated male throwing things at a residence. On arrival, Police located a 42 year-old Belleville male who was wanted on outstanding warrants for Indecent Act and Mischief. Police arrested Mark Ferguson and lodged him at the Belleville Police Service where he was held for a bail hearing.

Theft of Alcohol

Belleville, Ontario – On July 29th 2019 at 2:15 p.m., police responded to a business on Bell Blvd regarding the theft of alcohol. An investigation is currently ongoing and police believe they will be able to identify the suspect once video surveillance is obtained.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On July 29th 2019 at 2:45 p.m., police responded to the area of North Front Street regarding a two vehicle collision. On arrival, a police investigation revealed that the damage was minor in nature and that there were no injuries. As a result, police learned that a 35 year-old female was at fault, resulting in the female being charged with Change Lane Not In Safety under the Highway Traffic Act.

Attempt Break & Enter

Belleville, Ontario – On July 29th 2019 at 3:45 p.m., police responded to the area of Jane Street regarding an attempt Break & Enter. An investigation revealed that the suspect removed tools from the home owners shed and used them in an attempt to gain entry into the residence. Entry was not gained and Police are reminding the public to ensure sheds and tools are properly secured.
