Belleville, Ontario – On March 29th, 2017, at 9:40 p.m. officers attended a disturbance call at an apartment building on Sidney Street. A 33-year-old Belleville man was located outside the building. He was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was issued a provincial offence notice for the offence. No one was injured.

Fugitive caught in foot chase

Belleville, Ontario – On March 29th, 2017, at 9:51 p.m. officers attempted to stop a car on West Moira Street as the passenger was believed to be a male who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The passenger fled on foot but was caught by an officer after a brief foot chase. The male discarded a package of marijuana which was recovered by the officers. 23-year-old Christopher Donald Gray of Belleville was held for a bail hearing on March 30th.  His charges include theft and breach of probation from March 24th, 2017. Gray faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.

Witnesses sought in hit-and-run accident

Belleville, Ontario – On March 28th, 2017, at 7:37 p.m. police attended on University Ave. at McFarland Drive as a car had struck a utility pole. The driver fled on foot into a wooded area. The investigators are looking for people who may have witnessed a small red car driving erratically in the Cannifton Rd//Adam St.//McFarland Drive area prior to the accident.
