Serious Assault

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, at 4:10 p.m., police responded to a North Front Street motel regarding an injured male. The victim had sustained serious head injuries as a result of being assaulted. Witnesses at the scene had heard a struggle taking place inside the room of the motel where the male was located. Two males were seen exiting the room and leaving in a black vehicle. The first male is described as a large male weighing approximately 210lbs and wearing a denim shirt. The second male was described as being much smaller in stature than the first male and wearing a leather vest. The victim, a 50 year old Belleville man, was admitted to Belleville General Hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Break & Enter (s)

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, a Rosewood Avenue homeowner reported sometime over night his home was broken into. A brief case, MP3 player and medication were taken.

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, a Stanley Street resident reported his home was entered sometime between November 28th and November 30th. Entry was gained through a basement window. It is unsure at this time what was taken in the Break and Enter.

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, a Harmony Road homeowner reported an Attempt Break and Enter to garage over night. Entry was not gained and nothing was taken as a result of this attempt.

Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, at 3:50 p.m., police received a complaint of domestic related assault in the east end of Belleville. The investigation revealed several incidents of assault had taken place over a period of time. A 52 year old Belleville male has been charged with two counts of Assault, one count of Assault with a Weapon, and one count of Utter Threat. He was released on a Promise to Appear with Officer in Charge Undertaking and will appear in court in January 2010.

Drive While Disqualified

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, at 8:30 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bridge Street East and Lingham Street. Officers observed extensive damage to one of the vehicles in the intersection. Further investigation revealed one of the drivers of the vehicles was a suspended driver due to a previous Impaired Driving charge. A 19 year old Belleville male has been charged with one count of Drive While Disqualified and will appear in court in January 2010.

Robbery

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, at 4:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a Robbery at a Bleecker Avenue address. The homeowner reported three males forced their way into the residence by smashing a rear sliding glass door. Once inside the males sprayed the occupants of the home with Bear Spray. All three males fled from the home after taking the victims medication. The males were last seen running south bound from the residence.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 30, 2009, sometime over night a 2007, white, Chev Silverado, pick up was stolen from Joyce Crescent address. The keys were not in the vehicle at the time of the theft. The plate number is 5244WH.
