Belleville, Ontario – On the 29th of October at 5:15 pm police were called to a north end retail store with regards to a youth who was shoplifting. The suspect was gone prior to police arrival however returned to the store later in the evening and police were again contacted. The 13-year-old Brighton youth was arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he was released a short time later on a promise to appear. He was charged with two counts of shoplifting and given a November 26th court date to answer to the charges. His name cannot be released due to stipulations under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. 



Belleville, Ontario – On the 30th of October at 12:15 am police were called to a disturbance involving a male in female in the city’s downtown. The call for service resulted in a 50-year-old male being arrested for public intoxication. He was held until morning before being released unconditionally.
