Belleville, Ontario – On July 30th, 2013, at 9:54 a.m. a pedestrian was struck in the intersection of Front Street and Bridge Street. A 93 year old Belleville woman was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered only minor injuries.
On July 30th, 2013 at 3:39 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Sidney Street and Catharine Street in relation to a three car accident. Two of the cars had to be towed from the scene. A 23 year old Picton man was charged with careless driving.
On July 30th, 2013 at 4:06 p.m. police attended on College Street West in relation to a two car accident. An eastbound car had turned across the path of a westbound car. Both cars were heavily damaged and had to be towed. A 20 year old Belleville man was charged with failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
Theft of a vehicle
Belleville, Ontario – On July 30th, 2013, at 5:27 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of the Quinte Mall with regards to a stolen vehicle. Further investigation led to the recovery of the vehicle as a family member had taken the car without permission. An 18 year old Quinte West woman was charged with "take motor vehicle without owner's consent”. She will appear in court on August 15th, 2013.
3 day licence suspension
Belleville, Ontario – On July 31st, 2013, at 1:19 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Coleman Street. The driver, a 27 year old Belleville woman, was placed on the roadside screening device and registered a "warn”. As a result, her driver's licence was suspended for three days and her vehicle was impounded.
