Child struck by car

 

Belleville, Ontario – On May 30th, 2014, at 4:07 p.m. a 9 year old boy was struck by a car on North Park Street.  The child was taken by EMS to hospital and treated for minor injuries. There were no charges.

 

 

 

Theft of a lawnmower

 

Belleville, Ontario –On May 30th, 2014, at 7:05 p.m. a homeowner on Edgehill Road was cutting the grass in her front yard. She stopped the lawnmower to go inside the residence. Upon her return the lawnmower was gone.  It is believed that because the lawnmower was stopped at the end of the driveway a passerby may have assumed that the lawnmower was a discarded item. The homeowner is looking for the return of her red and black Toro lawnmower.

 

 

Disturbances

 

Belleville, Ontario –On May 30th, 2014, at 10:35 p.m. police attended on Bleecker Avenue in relation to a disturbance. A 19 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act.

 

On May 31st, 2014, at 1:25 a.m. police attended on Front Street in relation to a disturbance. A 20 year old Belleville woman was arrested for breach of the peace.  Alcohol was a factor in this incident.

 

 

 

Theft of Samsung Galaxy Tablet

 

Belleville, Ontario –On May 30th, 2014 an officer identified a suspect in a theft of a Samsung Galaxy Tablet from a patient at Quinte Health Care on April 27th, 2014.  A 37 year old Marmora man was charged with theft under $5000.  He will appear in court on June 26th, 2014.  The tablet was not recovered.
