Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st, 2009 at 12:45 a.m., Police responded to a fight on Front Street and Bridge Street. Two Belleville men, ages 20 and 21, were arrested. One male was charged with Public Intoxication, while the other was charged with Breaching the Peace.
Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st 2009, at 1:15 a.m., Police received multiple 911 calls about a large disturbance outside a downtown bar. One man was pepper sprayed by Police during the disturbance. As Police were arresting this male, a female assaulted two police officers. This female was arrested as well as another male who intervened to further obstruct officers dealing with this incident. The 27 year old Belleville woman was charged with two counts of Assaulting Police. A 49 year old Belleville man was charged with Obstructing Police. The 31 year old Belleville man was released unconditionally.
Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st 2009, at 2:30 a.m., a 49 year old male was arrested on North Front Street for Public Intoxication.
Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st 2009 at 2:45 a.m., a 25 year old Quinte West man was arrested on North Front Street for Mischief Under $5000.00. He was released with a December 2009 courtdate.
Theft from cars
Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st 2009 at 3:30 a.m., a 20 year old Belleville man was arrested for entering parked cars in the City's east end. Investigation revealed that nothing had been taken. This male was charged under the Trespass to Property Act.
Traffic stop leads to Canada Wide warrants
Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st 2009 at 4:30 a.m., an officer stopped a car on Dundas Street West as the driver was a suspect in a gas-siphoning incident. The male provided a number of false names to the Officer before his true identity was revealed. The 20 year old male driver had a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest under the National Defence Act. It was learned that he had gone AWOL from CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick on October 20th 2009. He was issued a 3 day licence suspension and was charged with Personation and Obstructing Police. He was turned over to the Military Police to deal with his AWOL issue.
Trick or Treat
Belleville, Ontario - There were no calls for service during the "Trick or Treat? hours. Police are lauding the efforts of the many people involved in the Halloween Safe Streets Program. There were about 100 volunteers walking the streets including Auxiliary Police Officers, community policing personnel, Loyalist College students, and area high school students.
Belleville, Ontario - On October 31st 2009 just before midnight, an Officer on patrol observed a vehicle being driven erratically in the Foxboro area. The car was stopped, and a 24 year old Belleville man was arrested for Impaired Driving. He was also charged with Over 80 Mgs of Alcohol in his blood and Possession of Marijuana. He will appear in court in December 2009.
