The Belleville Police Service responded to 61 calls for service between May 3rd 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and May 4th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On the 3rd of May 2019 at 2:54 p.m., police attended the intersection of Church Street and Bridge Street for a two vehicle Motor Vehicle Collision. A Northbound vehicle struck a Southbound vehicle. There was substantial damage to both vehicles. A 73 year-old woman was taken to BGH with minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On the 4th of May 2019 at 9:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Shamrock Road in Belleville regarding an impaired driver. Police stopped a 25 year-old Belleville man who was found to be highly intoxicated. After a thorough investigation, police arrested and charged the man for Operation While Impaired by Alcohol and Operation While Impaired 80+. The male was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was released on a Promise to Appear and given a court date in May to face the charges.
