Assault Investigation

A Domestic Assault investigation from March 1st resulted in a 17 year old male being charged on March 4th.  The victim in this matter did not receive any injuries.  This youth was released on a Promise to Appear with an April court date.  He cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

Break and enter

On March 4th, at 10:00 p.m., Police responded to a home on West Moira St. that had been broken into.   Items taken included a Wii game, a Rock band game, a camera, and several DVD?s.  Police are continuing their investigation after several of the items were recovered.

 

Disturbance

On March 5th, shortly after midnight, Police responded a report of an unwanted person at a residence on Strachan St.  Police arrived to find family members engaged in a fight on their front lawn.  The disturbance was quelled, and a 60 year old Quinte West man left the residence voluntarily.

 

Bats in the belfry

On March 5th, at 12:45 a.m., Police responded to an alarm at a local Church.  The culprit turned out to be a bat.  The bat was eventually cornered and released by his captors outside the Church.
