Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario- On 3 March, 2011 at 9:51 police attended at on Pine Street in response to a complaint of a break and enter that occurred overnight. Investigation of this confirmed that unknown person(s) forced entry through the area designated for an air conditioning unit and once inside stole money and electronics. This investigation is on going.

Traffic Management Initiative
Belleville, Ontario ? On 3 March, 2011, Belleville Police Traffic Management Unit and uniformed officers conducted speed enforcement at Dundas Street East near Haig Road. This area is known to be the location of many collisions. The enforcement focused on a 2 hour period during daylight hours and a total of 16 offence notices were issued.
The highest speed was measured at 102 km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone, there were 4 offenders that were issued notices for driving at and above 90 km/hr (50% above the posted rate) and the remainder of the violations were issued to drivers operating motor vehicles in excess of 78 km/hr (30% above the posted rate). Belleville Police Service continues to make public safety on our streets a priority.

Traffic Complaint
Belleville, Ontario ? On 3 March, 2011 at 8:31 p.m., police received an anonymous complaint of a vehicle driving all over the road northbound on Coleman Street. Police located this vehicle approximately one hour later on Pinnacle Street. Investigation of this complaint led to the driver of this vehicle being served notice of a 3 day license suspension for driving with a 0.05 to 0.08 of blood alcohol concentration. Belleville Police encourage members of the public to call 911 when they suspect a vehicle is being operated by an Impaired Driver.
