Belleville, Ontario ? On 2 October, 2010 at 3:07 a.m., police observed three males involved in an altercation at North Front Street and Valleyview Crescent. Investigation of this incident revealed that the 3 males were involved earlier in an argument that had escalated to this altercation. A 20 year old, Belleville male was stabbed and suffered a minor laceration that he received treatment for at BGH. The male departed BGH a short time later. A 27 year old, Belleville man has been charged with had Assault With a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Breach of Probation and will appear in Provincial Court on 4 October, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. for a bail hearing.

Possession of Stolen Property and Break In Instruments
Belleville, Ontario ? On 2 October, 2010 at 8:10 p.m., police attended at a School on Prince of Wales Drive in response to a complaint of youths around the school and the sound of glass smashing. Investigation of this complaint involved the police checking the surrounding area of the school. During this period police observed a single male (not associated with the original group of youths) with a flashlight peering into a window of the school. Investigation of this, led to the arrest of a 16 year old Belleville male for Possession of Break In Instruments and Breach of Probation. This 16 year old was riding a bicycle that was later determined to have been stolen from a residence on Moira Street East. Subsequently, this youth has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property. The youth was released to the care of his parent and will appear in Youth Court on 9 November, 2010. According to the Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits the identity of this person from being released.
