Assault ? Causing Bodily Harm

Belleville, Ontario ? on October 3, 2011 at 11:30 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at a Wallbridge Loyalist Road address. The suspect was an unwanted person at this location and as a result of the police investigation; Julian CLAYTON, 21 years old from Port Hope was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and 2 counts each of Breach of Probation. The male victim was treated and released from Belleville General Hospital with facial injuries. CLAYTON will appear in court on November 17, 2011.

Domestic Assault

Belleville, Ontario ? On October 3, 2011at 6:00 p.m., Police received a report of a domestic disturbance at a west end address. On arrival police found a female sitting on the floor inside the front door of the home. The victim had what appeared to be a ?goose egg bump' on her forehead. As a result a 26 year old Belleville male was arrested and charged with one count of Assault. He was later released with a court date set in November 2011. No names will be released as to protect the identity of the victim.

Weapons Dangerous

Belleville, Ontario ? On October 3, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a male in possession of what appeared to be a handgun in the area of Moira St West at Sidney Street. Witnesses stated the suspect, white male wearing a white ball hat and zippered white checkered hoodie, was seen standing in a ?shooters pose with gun in hand' on Moira Street West. Police located the male a short distance from this location and as a result a 15 year old, Belleville youth was arrested and charged with one count of Weapons Dangerous. The youth will appear in court in November 2011.

Police seized a black BB gun from the youth. The name of the youth cannot be released due to the provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Impaired Driving & Drugs

Belleville, Ontario ? On October 1, 2011 at approximately 5:00 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Mitchell Road in the east end of Belleville. On arrival police located a vehicle in the ditch with the driver sitting on the side of the road. Witnesses reported the suspect vehicle appeared to be traveling fast on Mitchell Road, lose control, skid into the ditch and flip onto its side. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel DURKIN, 28 years old from Shannonville was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Over 08mgs. At the time of the arrest DURKIN was found to be in possession of Psilocybin and Marijuana and was further charged under the Controlled Drug & Substance Act for Possession - Other Drugs and Possession - Cannabis Marihuana. DURKIN will appear in court on October 13, 2011.
