Disturbance
Belleville, Ontario - On September 4, 2009 at approximately 2:45a.m., Police were called to a north end bar for a disturbance in a parking lot. On arrival it was learned there had been a fight in which one person was in need of medical attention. As a result of the investigation, a 24 year old Belleville female was arrested and held for a bail hearing later this date. She is charged with one count of Assault and 3 counts of Breach of Probation Order. The victim was treated and released.
Missing Person Located
Belleville, Ontario ? On September 4, 2009 Police were advised as to the where abouts of the reported missing youth Meaghan Ausman. She has been located and is no longer missing.
Bail Violations - Montreal men arrested
Belleville, Ont. - On September 4, 2009, at 5:00 p.m., officers responded to the 401 in relation to two suspicious male hitchhikers. The males initially provided false names. Once their true identities were revealed, it was learned that both males had outstanding charges from Quebec. Both males were bound by Bail Conditions which included a condition that they were not to communicate with each other. Both males are 18 years of age and were from Montreal. Their charges include Obstructing Police, Breach of an Undertaking, and numerous counts of Breach of Probation. They are being held for Bail set for September 8, 2009.
Fair-related incidents
Belleville, Ont. - On September 4, 2009, at 10:00 p.m., an off-duty Officer observed two males kicking at cars as they left the Belleville fair. One youth was arrested for Public Intoxication. A further search revealed a small quantity of marijuana in his pocket. A 17 year old youth was charged with Public Intoxication.
A short time later, a girl reported that she had been assaulted by another girl near the midway at the Belleville fair. A 16 year old girl was arrested, and a check revealed that she was already on probation for assaulting the same girl. She was held for a bail hearing on Sept. 8th on charges of Assault and two counts of Breach of Probation.
Intoxicated person(s)
Belleville, Ont. - On September 4, 2009, at 11:30 p.m., an Officer observed a male passed out Front St. The 50 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act and subsequently charged with Intoxicated in a Public Place.
