The Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service between April 3rd, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and April 4th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Assault investigation closed

Belleville, ON - The Belleville Police would like to thank the members of the community for their information and assistance regarding a previously reported incident of a child assaulted after school.  Police received information and support from many people, including several offers to replace the broken scooter.

The Belleville Police received information contrary to what was originally reported; as a result, police are no longer looking to identify the three males, and the investigation is considered closed.

Suspended drivers charged

Belleville, ON - On the 3rd of April 2019 at 3:05 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Dundas Street West. A check of the driver’s license status revealed him to be a suspended driver. A 62 year-old Belleville man will appear in court in May. Police also stopped another driver on Bell Boulevard at 5:25 p.m. who was also suspended. A 46 year-old Trenton man will also appear in court in May.
