On May 5th, 2009, at 9:20 a.m., a Belleville woman was assaulted and her laptop computer was taken from her as she was walking in the area of Yeomans Street at Catharine Street. The laptop is described as a red Gateway laptop computer.
The lone male assailant is described as a white male, late 20?s to early 30?s, 6?2?, thin build, wearing a heavy winter coat, blue jeans, and a black ball cap. He was last seen running southbound on Yeomans Street.
The victim received minor injuries from the assault. She did not require medical attention.
Motor Vehicle Accident
On May 5, 2009, Police were called to four accidents between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
At 8:10 a.m., Police responded to a 2 car accident on Farley Ave. at Northwood Crescent. One driver received minor injuries. A 26 year old Belleville woman was charged with making an Improper Left Turn.
At 9:00 a.m., Police responded to a two car accident on Bleecker Ave. at Dundas St. East. Police spoke with a witness as neither vehicle was on scene. Police later located the one vehicle where it was determined that there was no damage in this minor accident.
At 9:10 a.m., Police responded to a two car accident on College St. E. at Cannifton Road. This minor accident was referred to the Collision Reporting Centre.
At 11:00 a.m., Police responded to a two car accident on North. Front St. at Valleyview Crescent. One of the drivers complained of a minor injuries which resulted in EMS attending. A 17 year old Belleville youth was charged with Careless Driving.
