Pellet gun incident
Belleville, Ont. - On September 5, 2009, at 12:30 a.m., Officers attended on Bleecker Ave. in relation to a pellet gun incident. It was learned that a ten year old boy had been shot in the back of the neck by a pellet gun. Officers located the suspect and a pellet gun was seized. The investigation is continuing. The youth suffered bruising to the back of his neck.
Male arrested at north end car dealership//stolen car recovered
Belleville, Ont. - On September 5, 2009, at 4:35 a.m., a suspicious male was observed at a car dealership on Hwy 62. The male was observed in a vehicle that had been stolen from the same car lot one week earlier. The male fled on Police arrival. Containment was set up as K9 was called in for the track. An officer on the perimeter observed the male running northbound. Minutes later this male was located near a shed and arrested. A 27 year old Belleville man is charged with Theft over $5000.00, Drive While Disqualified, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and two counts of Fail to Comply. He will remain in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing on Sept. 8th.
