Impaired Driver

On March 5th, 2009, at 4:15 p.m., an erratic driver was stopped by Police in the N.Front St. area. The 50 year old male driver was arrested for Impaired Driving. This Belleville man was also a prohibited driver from a recent conviction for Impaired Driving. He has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, and drive while prohibited. He will appear in court in April.

Break and enter solved//one arrested//one sought

An investigation into a residential break and enter on West Moira St. on March 4th resulted in an 18 year old Belleville male being arrested. During the search, Police recovered stolen property on this male that had recently been shoplifted from the Future Shop and Dollarama. He was charged with Break, enter and theft, two counts of theft, and three counts of possession of stolen property.

A 17 year old co-accused is expected to surrender to Police later this morning.

Reasons why you shouldn?t speed

On March 5th, at 9:30 p.m., a 23 year old Belleville man was stopped for speeding in the City?s west end. A check revealed that this driver?s licence was under suspension. A further check revealed that there was a warrant for his arrest by the Belleville Police Service for Theft over $5000.00. Finally, a search of this person revealed a small amount of marijuana. This male will appear in court in April.

Bar Disturbances

At 1:15 a.m., Police responded to Heroes in relation to a male that needed medical attention from a fight. He was transported to BGH by EMS. This investigation is continuing.

At 2:15 a.m., Police observed a disturbance outside of the Cabaret. A 20 year old Belleville woman was arrested for public intoxication.

At 2:30 a.m. Police attended in the parking lot of Matt & Joe?s for a fight. This crowd was dispersed.

Arrested on Warrants

At 2:20 a.m., an Officer was flagged down by a male who was looking for a place for the night. A check revealed that there were warrants for his arrest for Theft and Failing to Appear in Court. This 18 year old Belleville man was held for a bail hearing.

Intoxicated male

At 3:30 a.m., Police attended at a west end apartment in relation to an intoxicated male who kept calling 911. This 26 year old Belleville man was arrested for intoxicated in a common area.
