Traffic stop

Belleville, Ontario – On February 4th, 2013, at 9:15 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Bridge St. East as the licence plates did not belong on the vehicle. A further check revealed that the driver was a suspended driver. A 34 year old Belleville woman will appear in Traffic Court on charges of "Drive while under Suspension” and "Use plate not authorized for vehicle”. A passenger in the vehicle, a 47 year old Belleville man, will also appear in Traffic Court on a charge of "permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle”. The licence plates were seized, and the vehicle was towed.


Belleville, Ontario – On February 5th, 2013, at 2:00 a.m. police attended in the parking lot of a Dundas St. East apartment building in relation to a complaint of repeated loud banging. Police discovered that a car had been heavily damaged as all of the windows were smashed out including the windshield. In addition, all four tires were slashed. Words had been scratched into the paint on the hood of the vehicle. This was the only vehicle targeted. A witness observed a male running from the parking lot. Police are continuing the investigation.
