Belleville, Ontario ? May 4, 2010 at 7:02 p.m., police attended at a residence on Catharine Street in response to a report of a break and enter. The owner reported that unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence sometime overnight. This investigation is ongoing.
Belleville, Ontario ? May 4, 2010 at 10:21 a.m., police responded to a school on Prince of Wales Drive in response to a report of broken windows. The staff reported that sometime overnight pellets had been shot at the windows which caused the windows to break. This investigation is ongoing.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, Ontario ? May 4, 2010 at 2:40 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision on College Street East, which involved 5 vehicles.
It was reported to police that a line of 4 vehicles were waiting at red light when the last vehicle was struck from behind, which caused a domino effect for the 4 vehicles. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle that initiated the collision was located in a parking lot on University Avenue.
Sean Milne (21 years) of Hastings has been issued a summons for Careless Driving and Fail to Remain at scene of accident and will appear in court on June 14, 2010.
Belleville, Ontario ? April 30, 2010 at 12:15 p.m., police investigated a serious personal injury collision at the intersection of Pinnacle and Moira Streets.
Two vehicles collided within the intersection causing serious injuries to one driver, that being an 86yr old female. The second driver, a 22 yr old female was treated at the scene for minor injuries.The road was closed for approximately 3 hours as acollision reconstruction team investigated.
Police are requesting anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Cst. Rob Travers of the Traffic Management Unit at 613-966-0882 ext 2233. The investigation is continuing.
