Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, Ont. - On October 5, 2009, at 2:52 a.m., a North Park Street resident was awoken to the sound of someone pounding on his car in his drive way. Police located an intoxicated female walking down the middle of the street. A 20 year old Belleville woman was arrested for her own protection contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. She was later released with a Provincial Offences Notice for this offence.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 5, 2009 at 4:15 p.m., police and emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bethel Rd in Thurlow Township. Three children ages 3, 8 and 11 were struck by a vehicle while getting off of their school bus. All three of the children are in serious but stable condition. One child was transported to Kingston General Hospital for treatment. Members of the Criminal Investigations Division and a Collision Reconstructionist are currently investigating this incident.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 5, 2009 at 6:05 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle and cyclist collision that occurred on Bridge Street West at Dunbar Street. A youth was struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle. The driver of the pickup truck failed to remain at the scene but was located a short time later. The youth was taken to Belleville General Hospital and treated for minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.
