Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010 police responded to complaints of break and enters at 2 residences and 1 business with the City of Belleville. These break and enters occurred during the day on 4 April and overnight on 5 April, 2010. Stolen was a computer system, petty cash, a television, a camera and a laptop. These investigations are ongoing.
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010, police initatied 2 investigations of break and enters. One was from a construction site with the City which occurred sometime between 29 March and 5 April and the second was from a residential garage in Thurlow ward, which occurred between 2 ? 5 April, 2010. The culprits stole a significant amount of tools at both locations (example impact driver, drills, grinders and a wet saw).
Police are reminding the public to report suspicious person(s) and or activities. Theses investigations are ongoing.
Belleville, Ontario ? 7 April, 2010, police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Bleecker Ave.,, The resident reported that at approximately 9:00 a.m. they returned home to see a male approximately 5'9?, 140 to 160 lbs, wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and a ball cap run out the back door. Electronics were stolen.
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010 at 7:26 a.m., police attended at a business on Macdonald Ave, in response to a complaint of damage to the building. Sometime over the weekend unknown person(s) threw rocks at windows. This investigation is ongoing.
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010 at 10:58 a.m. police were informed of an ongoing problem on Cannifton Road, North. The victim reported that unknown person(s) threw eggs at the residence and boat. This investigation is ongoing. Police are reminding the public to report any suspicious person(s) or activities in their neighbourhoods.
Thefts from Motor Vehicle(s)
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010, police responded to 3 thefts from motor vehicles. Two were from residences (Bogart Crescent and Gracefield Lane) and one from a business in the on Parks Drive. Stolen were loose change and 2 back racks. The final theft involves a theft of jewelry that was the only property that could be salvaged from a fire that demolished the home of the victims. The jewelry has substantial sentimental value to the victims. Police are asking for the publics to contact Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 TIPS or Belleville Police Service with any information that will assist in these investigations.
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a 14 year old female was walking on the path that runs adjacent to YMCA and connects with Plaza Square when a male blocked her path and would not let her past him. This male is described as white, mid 30's, approximately 5'5?, with brown/black short hair, having a moustache and wearing a black coat, jeans and stripped shirt.
Police are reminding the public to practice personal safety, be aware of your surroundings and to report and suspicious person(s) or activities as soon as possible to police.
Belleville, Ontario ? 6 April, 2010 at 5:04 p.m. the owner of a 2008 blue, Dodge Durango bearing Ontario plates BCXN 544 reported that he observed an unknown white van pull into his driveway and a person exited the van and entered his vehicle. Immediately after, he observed both the white van and his Durango heading south toward Mudcat Road. The area was searched and the white van was located in the area of Mudcat Road and Country Charm Lane. Further investigation revealed that the white van was stolen from Cloyne. On 7 April, 2010 at approximately 10:00 a.m. the blue Dodge Durango was recovered Bradgate Road, Belleville. This investigation is ongoing.
