Belleville, Ontario ? On December 6, 2009, a Russell Street resident reported someone had entered her home and removed an X-box, X-box games, camera, computer and cash. The homeowner reported suspects broke in through a rear window of the home sometime between 6:00 p.m. on December 5th and 1:30 a.m., on December 6th. This incident is still under investigation.
A Cedar Street resident reported a Break & Enter to his home. The entry occurred between 6:30 a.m. on December 5th to 7:30 a.m., on December 6th and was gained by going through a basement window. Stolen were a Play Station 3 and six Play Station games. This incident is still under investigation.
A Russell Street resident reported a Break and Enter to her home. The entry occurred between 5:30 a.m. on December 5th and 11:00 a.m., on December 6th. Suspects smashed a rear window to gain entry to the home. A clock was taken as a result of this Break & Enter.
Break & Enter and Theft of Vehicle
Belleville, Ontario ? On December 6, 2009, a Bell Blvd business was broken into and a Black, 1996 CHEV GM4 Pickup was stolen. The pick up also had an attached red Western plough on the front. The plate number is 9725CY. The entry occurred between December 4th and December 6th and was gained by removing a bay door window of the garage. The vehicle also had tinted windows. This incident is still under investigation.
Belleville, Ontario ? On the 25th Nov 2009, A Belleville woman reported her wallet stolen to police. Contained in the wallet were various pieces of identification and a Visa Card. On that same date the stolen Visa was used to purchase a gift certificate at McDonald's restaurant and also to purchase a digital camera at the Quinte Mall. Further investigation resulted in police arresting and charging a 39 year old Belleville man with one count each of Possession of Stolen Credit card, Use Stolen Credit card, and Forgery. Police were not able to recover the camera as the male reported the camera had been stolen from him. The male was released and will appear in court in January 2010.
Belleville, Ontario ? On December 6, 2009, at 5:20 a.m., police responded to Bridge Street East and Farley Street regarding a report of an abandoned vehicle in the middle of the intersection. On arrival police observed the vehicle was occupied with a lone male in the driver seat, the vehicle was running and still in drive. The driver appeared to be passed out. The officer woke the driver and the driver was found to be intoxicated. A 33 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with one count of Impaired Driving and Operate Motor vehicle Over 80mgs. He was later released with a January 2010 court date.
Assault & Forcible Confinement
Belleville, Ontario ? On December 6, 2009, police responded to a domestic dispute in the west end of Belleville. It was alleged a 25 year old Belleville male and the victim became involved in argument as both were walking in the area of Bridge Street West and Coleman Street. The accused became agitated and was grabbing the victim in attempts to retrieve her house keys. The victim refused to turn over the house keys and entered a phone booth to prevent him from getting them. The male braced the door of the phone booth preventing her from leaving it. The male pushed the female back into the booth whenever she tried to leave. Two witnesses intervened and assisted the female in exiting the phone booth. The 25 year old man was arrested and charged with one count each of Breach of Probation, Assault, and Forcible Confinement. He was held for Bail for December 7, 2009.
Belleville, Ontario ? On December 7, 2009, 475 vehicle were checked and two Highway Traffic Act charges were laid.
Belleville, Ontario ? On December 6, 2009, at approximately 3:30 a.m. police responded to a disturbance call at a North Front Street business. Police located a male suffering a minor head injury from an altercation with an unidentified male who had fled prior to Police arrival. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment. The incident is still under investigation.
