Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle
Belleville, Ontario ? On 4 December, 2010 at 1:32 a.m., police were on routine patrol in the College Street East area when the officer observed a vehicle driving very slowly and swerving within the lane. This vehicle was stopped to further investigate; this resulted in the driver being arrested for Impaired Driving. Steven Nemeth, 49 years of Quinte West has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation of Motor Vehicle with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol. Nemeth will appear in Provincial court on 13 January, 2011.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 5 December, 2010 at 1:15 a.m., police were conducting routine patrol northbound on Highway 62. Police observed a vehicle in the ditch on the west side of Highway 62. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver of this vehicle for Impaired Operation. Andrew Erskine, 25 years of Port Hope, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation of Motor Vehicle with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol. Erskine will appear in Provincial court on 6 January, 2011.

Break and Enter(s)
Belleville, Ontario ? On 4 December, 2010 at 1:29 a.m., police responded to an alarm at a business on Dussek Street. Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) had entered the business by pushing in the air conditioning unit. Nothing was reported stolen at this time.
Belleville, Ontario ? On 4 and 5 December, 2010; two occupants from Tripp Avenue residents reported that unknown person(s) entered their respective residences and stole computers and a bicycle.
Belleville, Ontario ? On 5 December, 2010 police attended at a business on Dundas Street East in response to an alarm. Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) forced entry to the business and stole musical instruments and computer equipment.
All break and enters continue to be investigated.

Assault
Belleville, Ontario ? On 4 December, 2010 at 6:07 p.m., police attended at a multi-plex type of residence on Victoria Avenue in response to a complaint of female throwing things. Investigation of this incident revealed that a female occupant of this residence was involved in a confrontation with a male occupant from the same building. Investigation of this incident led to the arrest of a 33 year old Belleville female. This female has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault police and 2 counts of mischief to property. This female will appear in Provincial court for a bail hearing on 6 December, 2010.
