Traffic-related incidents

Belleville, Ontario ? On 05 March 2012, at 2:00 p.m., Police stopped a motorist who had been refused service earlier at a retail outlet. A 54 year old Belleville man provided a roadside breath sample and registered a "warn?. As a result, his driver's licence was suspended for three days, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

At 4:15 p.m., Police stopped a motorist for speeding on Hwy 2 East. A check revealed that the driver was also a suspended driver. A 47 year old Quinte West man will appear in Traffic Court on April 2nd on charges of Speeding and Driving while under Suspension.

At 5:15 p.m., Police stopped a motorist for speeding on Hwy 2 East. A check revealed that the driver was also a suspended driver. A 20 year old Picton man will appear in Traffic Court on April 2nd on charges of Speeding and Driving while under Suspension.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario ? On 05 March 2012, at 10:00 a.m., Police attended at a business on Mineral Road in relation to a stolen vehicle. It was learned that a 1988 red Ford Mustang had been stolen sometime over the weekend. This was the second time in two weeks that this vehicle had been stolen. The Mustang sustained damage to the driver's side as well as the passenger side in the first theft. There was no steering column in the vehicle.

Theft from Cars

Belleville, Ontario ? On 06 March 2012, at 1:30 a.m., Police attended on Lemoine St. in relation to several males walking up and down driveways. A 17 year old Belleville youth was checked in the area and stolen property was recovered. The property had been stolen from a parked car, and the property was returned to the rightful owners. This youth was charged with Possession of Stolen property and will appear in Youth Court in April.
