A very busy holiday weekend night, with some bars filled to capacity. Four Belleville residents were detained in custody for public intoxication from several locations.

A 22yr old Colbourne man was charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon after another man received severe cuts to his face just after 1:00 a.m. at a North Front St establishment. He was struck in the head with a broken beer bottle and later sent to Kingston Hospital for further treatment of his injuries. The Colbourne man was released on a promise to appear.

Officers also set up RIDE checks throughout the City and around 3am, a 23yr old Foxboro woman was  arrested and charged with having Excess of 80mgms. She too was released on a promise to appear.

Police continue their investigation into a single motor vehicle (motorcycle) collision that occurred around 4am. Two local men were taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
