Motor Vehicle Collision - Sidney Street

Belleville, Ont. - On the 13th of April 2012 at approximately 12:25 PM a fatal motor vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Sidney Street and Leland Drive in the City of Belleville.

A 71year old Belleville man was struck by a vehicle, and died as a result of injuries sustained from this collision.

Michael Moffat (54 years) of Consecon has been charged with one count of Careless Driving in relation to this incident and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on 17 September, 2012.

Criminal Harassment

Belleville Ontario, On 05 Sept 2012 at 900 pm officers attended an address in the North Front st area. Police received information that the complainants ex girlfriend was continuously calling him, even though she was on probation,with a condition of that probation being not to contact him.

A Belleville woman in her thirties was arrested and is facing charges of Breach of Probation and criminal harassment. She was held for a bail hearing on 06 Sept 2012.

Public Intoxication

Belleville Ontario, At 630 pm officers attended the west end in regards to a male in the road who appeared to be intoxicated. When officers were speaking to the male he fell over and was unable to get up. A Belleville male in his 50's was arrested for his own protection and charged with public intoxication.

Public Intoxication

Belleville Ontario, At 0100 hrs officers attended in the Front st area in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed a female lying on the ground .They received information that the female had fallen on her face. After determining that he female had not been injured she was arrested for her own protection and charged with public intoxication.

Breach of Recognizance

Belleville Ontario, At 830 pm officers attended an address in the North East. Officers spoke to a female who indicated that her ex boyfriend, who was released on a recognizance at a bail hearing on 31 August with a condition not to contact her, had phoned her With the assistance of Tyendinaga police the male was located and arrested.

A male in his 20's will be charged with one count of Breach of Recognizance and held for a bail hearing on 06 sept 2012.
