Belleville Ont. - On August 7, 2009, a 31yr old Quinte West man was stopped on North Front Street just before 2:00 a.m. and as a result was arrested and charged with Impaired operation and excess of 80mgms. He was further charged with having no insurance and using unauthorized licence plates. He has a September court date.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, On ? A total of 4 motor vehicle collisions were reported to police today. All collisions were property damage only with no injuries. The most serious collision occurred on Bell Blvd at approx 7am when a single motor vehicle lost control and hit a post. The 18 yr old Belleville man was charged with careless driving and having improper tires.
Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? On 7 August 2009 at 10:54 pm police responded to an Alarm call at a business on Bell Boulevard. Upon arrival officers discovered that a rock had been thrown threw the glass door. The culprits had fled prior to officers arriving. A small amount of money was stolen. The canine officer attended but did not locate anyone.
Belleville, Ontario ? On 7 August 2009 at 9:17 pm police responded to a report of three youths who were seen stealing licence plates from vehicle at an apartment building on Victoria Avenue. The three youths were chased away by the witness, but not before stealing Ontario licence plate BRFT 679. The area was searched but the three youths were not located.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 7 August 2009 at 12:53 am police were at a north end bar when a 20 year old Denbigh male started to cause problems. He was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged in cells. A friend was with him but was not causing any problems at that time. He was sent on his way only to return at 1:20am and started causing problems at that time. The 20 year old Denbigh male was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged in the cells.
