Break & Enter(s)
Belleville, Ontario ? On June 4, 2010 a resident on Lewis Street reported a Beak & Enter to his apartment. The front door of the apartment was pried and money was taken.
On June 5, 2010, home owners Oak Street reported suspects broke into their home sometime between 11:00 p.m. on June the 4th and 3:00 a.m. on June the 5th. Entry was gained by cutting the screen on a bedroom window. Once inside suspects stole a lap top and a pocket knife.
An attempt was made to gain entry to a home on Gilbert Street on June 6, 2010. An occupant of the home woke to hear voices in the back yard of the residence. He observed two males attempting to gain entry to the rear door. The suspects fled from the area prior to police arrival however entry was not gained to the home.
On June 6, 2010, at 1:30 a.m. three males, all dressed in dark clothing, were observed acting suspiciously in the area of the CO-OP on Ashley Street in Foxboro. Officers found the building to be secure however pry marks were discovered on the door of the building.
On June 6, 2010 a home owner on Wilkes Street reported a Break & Enter to her garage. Entry was gained sometime over night from June 5th to the 6th. Suspects took a Silver/grey Nakumara Phenom Mountain bike with an 18' frame, tools and hockey sticks.
On June 6, 2010 a vacant home on Maple Drive was broken into. Entry was gained through a basement window sometime over night from June 5th to June 6th and although nothing was taken suspects caused minor damage to the building.
All of the reported Attempts and Break & Enters are currently under investigation.
Possession of Stolen Property & Obstruct Police
Belleville, Ontario ? On June 5, 2010, police received a report of two suspicious persons in the area of Finch Drive. The witness woke to hear a car alarm going off. He observed two males going through a vehicle and as a result phoned police. A short time later two males were arrested in the area by police and both were found to be in possession of stolen property.
Charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property is a 15 year old Belleville male and charged with one count each of Possession of Stolen Property and Obstruct Police is a 17 year old Belleville male. Both were released with a court date set in July 2010. The names of the youths cannot be released due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Belleville, Ontario ? On June 6, 2010, at 3:00 a.m., police received a report of male who had attempted to gain entry to a residence on Burton Street by kicking in an air conditioner unit. Police responded and as a result the male attempted to flee from the area. Police observed the male driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed as he was exiting the parking lot of the residence. Police stopped the vehicle a short time later and found the driver to be impaired.
Ian Carmen 24 years old from Frankford, Ontario was charged with Over 80 Mgs and was released with a court date set in July 2010. The attempt entry to the home is still under investigation.
Belleville, Ontario ? On June 6, 2010, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to a hit & run Motor Vehicle Collision on Tracy Park Drive. The witness reported the vehicle had struck another vehicle and then left the area. A short time later the witness called police to report the driver had returned. Police were on scene at the time and arrested the driver for Driving While Impaired.
Charged with once count each of Impaired Driving and Over 80 Mgs is Chadwick Davidson, 31 years old from the City of Belleville. Davidson was released with a court date set in July 2010.
Stolen Wave Runners & Trailer
Belleville, Ontario ? On June 4, 2010, a home owner on O'Neill Drive reported a theft of two Yamaha Wave Runners. Both were on a trailer with plate #H2597A attached. The trailer and Wave Runners were taken sometime between May 30th and June 4th. The total value of the Wave Runners and trailer is estimated at $15,000.
Mischief & Theft
Belleville, Ontario - The laundry rooms and coin laundry machines in four apartment buildings in the City of Belleville were entered over the weekend. Suspects forced entry to the laundry rooms of three buildings on Union Street and one on Benjamin Street. Once inside suspects damaged the machines to enable them to steal the change from several machines. These thefts are currently under investigation
