The Belleville Police Service responded to 56 calls for service between December 6th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and December 7th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.
Man charged with harassment
Belleville ON- On November 25th 2019, police received a complaint from a 14-year-old girl regarding a man taking pictures of her while travelling on a train to Belleville. Police were able to identify the male through train records, and they were able to make an arrest on December 6th. Paul Marshall, 59, of Belleville was arrested and charged with criminal harassment and mischief. He will appear in court on January 9th.
Suspended driver charged
Belleville On- On December 6th 2019 at 9:30p.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on College Street East after being informed that the license plate was not the plate authorized for the vehicle. Police spoke with the driver and learned that his license was suspended. Paul Reid of Foxboro was charged with using plates not authorized for a vehicle, driving while under suspension, and driving a motor vehicle with no currently validated permit. He was issued a summons to appear in court on January 6th.
Thefts from vehicles
Belleville ON- On December 6th 2019, Belleville Police received several calls regarding theft from vehicles in the west end. Unknown suspects entered unlocked vehicles in the area of Palmer Road, Bridge Street West, and Robertson Lane. Money and small valuables were taken. Anyone with information on the thefts are asked to call the Belleville Police Service.
