Belleville, Ontario ? On 4 January, 2011 at 4:20 p.m., police attended at the LCBO on Bell Blvd in response to a complaint of fraudulent use of a credit card. Police received information that the involved party had used a fraudulent credit card to make a purchase and was observed leaving the scene in a blue 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe.
This vehicle was observed in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. Police attempted to stop the vehicle on Millennium Drive but the vehicle fled and proceeded onto the Highway 401. Police were engaged in a short pursuit that was terminated at Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. The vehicle continued westbound on the 401.
The OPP were able to stop the vehicle in the area of Port Hope. Investigation of this incident has led to the three men that were in the vehicle being charged with various offences. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Talha Israr and was arrested and released for charges related to the OPP investigation.
Belleville Police have laid the following charges in relation to incidents from Belleville.
The driver of the Tahoe, Talha Israr (26 years) of Etobicoke; has been charged with Flight from Police.
Talha Israr (26 years) of Etobicoke, James Baldwin (46 years) of Mississauga and John Bundic (34 years) of Mississauga have each been charged with one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (this is in relation to property located with the vehicle).
James Baldwin (46 years) of Mississauga has been further charged with 2 counts of Possession of Fraudulent Credit Card and 2 counts of Use of Fraudulent Credit Card.
All charged persons will appear for a bail hearing on 7 January, 2011 at 2:00 p.m...
