Belleville , Ont ? Police are asking for your assistance in locating a Missing Person.On May 7, 2009 at 12:29 a.m., Starr KELLY was reported missing to police. Starr KELLY is 15 years old. KELLY was last seen by a family member on May 6, 2009 at 4:15p.m., leaving her residence. KELLY is described as having several different shades of brown hair, long in style, she hasblue eyes, is approximately 5'6", 106 lbs. She has a spacer earring with a cross in her left ear. KELLY was last seen wearing beige colored hooded zippered sweated shirt with stars on it. She was also wearing blue jeans with buttons on the front and black running shoes. This is not a common behaviour for KELLY and anyone with any information as the whereabouts of KELLY is asked to phone the Belleville Police Service 613 966 0882.
Warrants and Resist Arrest
Belleville, Ont. - On May 7, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., an Officer on bicycle patrol in the downtown core recognized a woman wanted on warrants by the Belleville Police Service. The Officer attempted to arrest this woman; however she resisted. With the assistance of another Officer, this woman was arrested without incident. Her original charges included Theft, Fail to Appear in Court, and Fail to Appear for Fingerprints. The 58 year old Belleville woman is further charged with one count of Resisting Arrest. She was held in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing on May 8th.
Belleville, Ont. - On May 7, 2009, at 7:40 p.m., Officers responded to West Moira Street in relation to an egg-throwing incident. Further investigation revealed that a female pedestrian had been struck in the chest with an egg from a passing car. A second woman, who had been standing near her property, was also struck by an egg. Officers located the car and 5 young Belleville males were arrested for Mischief and Assault with a Weapon. Three dozen eggs were seized from within this vehicle. All of the youths were turned over to their parents by police. The car in question is a red Saturn. The investigation is continuing and anyone with a similar complaint is asked to call the Belleville Police Service at 613 966 0882.
Belleville, Ont. - On May 7, 2009, at 9:00 p.m., Belleville Police charged a 16 year old youth with Aggravated Assault in relation to a fight that occurred on May 5th at a west end high school. A fight broke out in the parking lot of the school around 1:00 p.m. The victim received serious injuries to his face and was transported to Kingston General Hospital for treatment. The 16 year old youth cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will appear in Youth Court in June.
Belleville, Ont. - On April 28, 2009, two male pedestrians were walking on Station Street when a pick-up truck pulled up alongside. The driver exited the truck and assaulted both males. Police located the driver to west end high school. The investigation revealed the driver was involved in another assault at the west end high school on April 30th. An 18 year old Frankford male was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Assault, and 2 counts of Breach of a Probation Order. The victims received minor injuries. He will appear in court in June.
Missing Person & Stolen Bike
Belleville, Ont. - On May 7, 2009, at 8:15 p.m., police received a report of a missing 17 year old female. She was last seen leaving a west end high school at 1:15 p.m. At the same time police also received a complaint of a stolen 21 speed bicycle from the same high school. Later that same evening at 9:15 p.m., the missing girl rode the stolen bike to the Police Station. Both incidents were resolved at this point. The 17 year old youth was cautioned regarding the theft of the bike.
