Shoplifter arrested on warrants
Belleville, Ont. - On October 7, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. a 26 year old Quinte West man was arrested by store security in the City?s north end for theft. A further check revealed that there was a warrant for his arrest for three counts of Breach of Probation. This male was held for a Bail Hearing on October 8th.
Peterborougharea man arrested with a forged prescription
Belleville, Ont. - On October 7, 2009, at 4:30 p.m., Police responded to an east end Pharmacy in a relation to a man attempting to fill a forged prescription for Oxycontin tablets. A 41 year old Peterborough area man was arrested with several forged prescriptions. The investigation revealed this male had attempted to fill these prescriptions in other City locations. The Peterborough male remains in custody on 15 charges of Uttering a Forged Document, Proceeds of Crime, and Breach of Probation. He will appear for a Bail hearing on October 8th.
Local man arrested on warrants
Belleville, Ont. - On October 7, 2009, at 10:00 p.m., a 19 year old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for Assault and Assault Causing Bodily Harm. These incidents are in relation to a Domestic Assault investigation on August 12, 2009. He will appear for a Bail Hearing on October 8th.
