The Belleville Police Service responded to 39 calls for service between January 6th, 2018 at 5:00 a.m. and January 7th, 2018 at 5:00 a.m.


Belleville, Ontario – On January 6th, 2019 at 11:15 p.m., police attended the City’s old west hill area with regard to a 22 year-old Belleville man acting strange. Upon arrival, the male was located on the street and officers determined that he had badly cut his hand while acting in a bizarre manner in his home. As the male’s hand was bleeding profusely he became agitated and assaultive towards officers. The male was tasered and taken to the hospital where he was sedated and provided with medical attention for his hand. No other persons were injured and there will be no criminal charges laid.
