The Belleville Police Service responded to 63calls for service between April 6th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and April 7th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Impaired Driving

Belleville, ON – On the 7th of April 2019, at approximately 12:18 a.m., Belleville Police officers were called to the area of Dundas St. East and Haig Rd. for a report of a motor vehicle collision. They had also received information that one of the drivers may be impaired. Upon arrival, officers quickly realized that one of the vehicles was partially blocking the train tracks and contacted CP Rail to stop any trains from coming through until the vehicle could be towed. Further investigation led officers to arrest a male for driving while his blood alcohol content was over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. 35 year-old Marcus Page from Belleville was charged for drive while over 80 mgs. He was also charged for various Highway Traffic Act infractions and released on a promise to appear and several Part III summonses with a court date of the 25th of April 2019.
