The Belleville Police Service responded to 50 calls for service between December 7th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and December 8th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Domestic complaint leads to arrest

Belleville ON- On December 7th 2019 at 4:15p.m., police responded to an east end apartment building regarding a domestic dispute. While investigating the complaint, police located a male in the apartment who was on conditions from previous charges not to be at the apartment or to communicate with the female. A 34-year-old Belleville man was arrested for two counts of breaching his recognizance and three counts of breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing on December 8th. His name is being withheld at this time.

Driver charged after hitting tree

Belleville ON- On December 7th 2019 at 10:45a.m., police attended Faraday Gardens regarding a single vehicle into a tree. Police spoke with the driver and determined that her license was under suspension. The driver, a 50-year-old female from Belleville, was charged with driving under suspension and careless driving. She will appear in court on January 6th. There were no injuries.

RIDE Program leads to traffic charges.

Belleville ON- On December 7th, Belleville Police Service conducted a RIDE Program in the late evening/early morning hours. Police checked 130 vehicles in total. A 23-year-old female from Belleville attempted to avoid the RIDE Program and was subsequently stopped. She was charged for several G1 license violations including not having an accompanying driver and having more passengers than seatbelts.
