Breach of Undertaking

Belleville, Ontario - On Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 1:56 pm, police responded to a possible break and enter to a residence in the city's east end. Upon arrival, police located a male on the front lawn of the property and he was detained. A check of this male revealed he was on an undertaking with a condition not to be away from his residence as well as wanted on a warrant from Stirling Rawdon Police for Breach of Undertaking and Fail to Attend court. As a result of police investigation, a 22 year old male from Ajax was arrested and charged with Breach of Undertaking and is being held for a bail hearing 08 February 2013.

Break and Enter

Belleville, Ontario On Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 5:12 pm, police responded to a residence on Casey Road in regards to a break and enter. Sometime between 06 February 2013 and 07 February 2013, unknown suspect(s) entered a barn and stole several recreational vehicles including dirt bikes, ATV's and a snowmobile. Anyone with information about this break and enter is asked to contact Crimestoppers or the Belleville Police Service. This investigation is continuing.

Fail to Remain

Belleville, Ontario - Over the past 24 hours, police responded to two separate fail to remain motor vehicle collisions.

In the first incident on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11:23 pm, police responded to the area of Adam and Cannifton. A witness observed a beige SUV type vehicle run a red light and strike a dark coloured Cavalier. The two vehicles then pulled into a parking lot in the area and the driver of the Cavalier was then observed getting into the SUV. The vehicle was last seen northbound on Cannifton Road. Police located the Cavalier with extensive damage. This investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers or the Belleville Police Service.

In the second incident on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 00:15 am, police responded to the area of Front and Campbell Street. A black/silver vehicle was observed losing control and striking a lamppost on Front Street causing damage. The vehicle then left the scene last seen heading southbound on Front Street. This investigation is also continuing.
