Disturbances
Belleville, Ont. - On May 8, 2009, between 2:15 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., Police responded to four disturbances in the area of North. Front St. and Bell Blvd. Two of these incidents were Assaults, and both are still under investigation.
Break and Enter
Belleville, Ont. - On May 8, 2009, at 3:05 a.m., Police responded to an alarm at a Gas Bar on West. Moira St. On arrival, Police discovered that the glass in the door had been smashed. At this time, it appears that nothing was taken. The investigation is continuing.
Assault & Mischief
Belleville, Ont. - On May 8, 2009, at 4:30 p.m., Police responded to a disturbance in the City?s east end. A 24 year old Belleville man was visiting his sister when he became agitated and smashed a coffee maker and struck his sister. He was arrested and charged with Assault and Mischief to Property. He was released and will appear in court in June.
Causing a disturbance
Belleville, Ont. - On May 8, 2009, at 9:45 p.m., Police responded to a disturbance in the City?s east end. A 72 year old woman was arrested for Breach of the Peace and lodged in the Cells. She was released unconditionally.
Intoxicated in a Public Place
Belleville, Ont. - On May 8, 2009, at 11:30 p.m., Belleville Police were called to the Henry Street regarding a male a male passed out in an intersection. The 19 year old Roslin man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor License Act.
Warrants & Breach of Probation
Belleville, Ont. - On May 8, 2009, at 11:45 p.m., Police responded to an east end residence in relation to a woman requesting help. Further investigation revealed that a wanted Quebec man, her former boyfriend, was in the apartment. Officers located the man hiding in the kitchen. He was arrested on outstanding warrants for two counts of Criminal Harassment, two counts of Breach of Probation and one count of Utter Death Threats.
In addition, the 44 year old Montreal man was bound by a Probation Order to have no contact with the woman, nor was to be at or near or her residence. He was also charged with three counts of Breach of Probation. He will remain in custody awaiting a Bail hearing on May 11th.
